When I feel the need to unwind or feel calm I meditate and pray. Very often I stay silent in retrospection. This gives me a chance to reflect and de-stress myself. I do my postures or asanas regularly-a sure fire method to bring harmony to ones skeletal and muscular wellness.

Stress is a normal part of life. It occurs when people feel rightly or wrongly, that they are being overwhelmed by events or circumstances that exceed their personal resources. Stress is hazardous to our health. It has disintegrating and degenerative effects on our minds and bodies. One has to make a conscious effort to break this life cycle. To combat stress I advocate following simple techniques that are easy to adhere to- build recreation into your life. It can include anything that you enjoy doing. Meeting friends, dining out, games (indoor or outdoor) exercises etc are ideal. These can be followed even when you travel, during lunch breaks or weekends. Inhaling pleasant fragrances has an immediate effect on you. Food aromas are found to be comforting and relaxing. Light incense sticks and scented candles are good for relaxation. Prayers give me a lot of inner peace. If you find it difficult to concentrate try closing your eyes.  Restricting the visual sense makes it easier for you to concentrate.
