Hi, folks. I just wanted to share with you my thoughts and views on a few events that have taken place in the last few days/weeks.
I sincerely hope that everybody will join together with the world body in their efforts to reduce carbon /toxic gas emissions and instead try to promote greenery by planting trees, flower pots etc. This should not be done out of fear of dying with the earth, but with the concern of saving the earth and of generating life. Climate change, heat waves, less rains etc have all become alarmingly real and scary. All this is due to our carelessness, population growth and rising levels of carbon emissions. I think, there is a lot each of us can do to make meaningful contribution towards saving the earth.
From my part, I have already started switching off the AC’s in my exercise studios in the noon, during non peak hours, bank holidays and Sundays. I am sure we can all contribute in small ways by shutting off TV’s, AC’s etc on stand by mode and switch off fans and lights when not in use or needed, drive fuel efficient vehicles, plant more trees and buy locally grown food stuffs like vegetables, fruits etc.
Watched Amitabh Bachchan’s movie called PAA and loved every minute of it. Mr Bachchan never had to scream out “I am the best”. He just has to be himself. Whatever he does, he does with great panache, style and perfection. His movie PAA tells about the length, breadth and depth of his personality. I wish he lives eternally to bring us his experiences and messages of life and living.
I truly stand for the Nobel Committee’s decision of conferring the Nobel peace award to Barack Obama. And that too, in the face of a lot of criticism about him for sending troops to Afghanistan, which is much against peace. But, let us not be judgmental and think troops are only meant for killing. They can also be part of peace promotion. I truly believe in his endeavors and his sincerity towards the world coming together in harmony.
