Being Miss India is not only about external beauty, but also about the beauty that you hold within your pure heart. 99% of the appeal of a beautiful girl lies in her mind and attitude.
Most beautiful girls can seem ugly and unattractive because of their attitude, whereas even the most unattractive can become good by compassion, grace, caring and sharing. I help the girls learn that simply taking joy in whatever they do is the best makeup they can wear. Beside this, my training sessions included – (more…)

This is the first book by author Cyrus Moore and it’s taken 7 years for us to finally get our hands on it. Not because it wasn’t good enough, quite the contrary. But publishers were unwilling to invest in a thriller involving the financial world, stating that it simply would not sell. (more…)

Breathing – The Third Fundamental of Healing (Part 5)
Posted by MickeyMehta under Life , Training , Wellness1 Comment
I wish you peace, harmony and balance. I pray that you always have peace of mind. Let your mind take second place to your awareness; your awareness to consciousness, and your consciousness take you beyond it all. May you experience nothingness, hollowness, and emptiness, only so that it may lead you to wholeness and eternal happiness.
It’s time to wake-up and let your breath take you in the direction of your dreams. It’s time to realize that you are the creator of your thoughts, words and deeds, and that you can change them with the power of breath, meditation, prayers, attitude and above all LOVE. Rumi beautifully said, ‘I have been living on the tip of insanity, wanting to know reasons, knocking at the door. The door ultimately opens and I realize that I have been knocking from inside’. But for breath, you will lose touch with reality and enter the realm of illusion.
Illusion is when we are led to believe a lie – when we see from and not through the eye; when we breathe from and not through the nose; when we hear from and not through the ear. Our very existence is an illusion – we are born from the light, we grow up, grow old, and die, returning to the light. (more…)

Breathing – The Third Fundamental of Healing (Part 3)

And The Almighty said, ‘Let there be breath,’ and lo, there was breath. But, the Environment Department, said he would have to wait until the air cleared.
Breathing exercises, besides treating some physical ailments, can reverse the myriad problems caused by chronic stress.
TECHNIQUE 1 – ABDOMINAL BREATHING
Lie in Shavasana (Dead man’s pose) and relax the whole body.Observe your normal breathing pattern, without controlling it in anyway. Let it be absolutely natural. Observe 5 out-breaths and 5 in-breaths. Place your right hand on the abdomen, just above the navel, and the left hand over the center of the chest. The right hand will move up with inhalation and down with exhalation. The left hand should not move with the breath. There should be no tension in the abdomen. Do not try to force the movement in anyway. Try not to expand the chest or move the shoulders. Feel the abdomen expanding & contracting. Continue breathing slowly and deeply 5 times. 1—2—3—4—5. This method of deep breathing is one of the simplest yet most effective stress management techniques. (more…)

If The Creator wanted me to breathe right, I surely would have.
This is what most of us believe to be true. But the fact is that breathing right is one of the greatest tools, that we can possess, to counter entropy; to counter the universal tendency of orderliness; to break out of this rigid order. Breathing right keeps that fine balance.
Today, I am going to show you when, where and how to practice breathing techniques, which have helped a lot of people lead healthier and a stress-free lives. (more…)

“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.” - Mark Twain.
I really love books. I’ve never considered them to be lumps of lifeless paper; I’ve always thought of them as something that’s alive, the author’s world, its characters jumping out at you from the pages. Whenever I read a good book, I get a new insight into life and at times, re-inforcement of my world-views. I have found that a book to be the only place where I can examine, and re-examine a fragile thought, or look at a volatile idea without the fear of it exploding in my face. I treasure the things I learn from it, and it invariably follows me everywhere.

The Earth is not ours alone, not our personal possession. We are just a passing phase, taking care of it for a while and then moving on. The problem is, we’re not really taking care of it like we should. There can be no future for the human race, if the current generation destroys the only habitable planet in the universe.
Future generations, if any survive, will never forgive us for out irresponsible handling of their home planet. We have a choice about the kind of planet we will leave on. The earth on which we stand, the air that we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink is a result of our conscious choices. It would be wise of us to stop trying to tranform all that is natural and pure into something that is man-made and poisonous or destructive. We should just gratefully accept what has been bestowed upon us, instead of trying to change everything to make our lives easier. (more…)
