Should the healer be treating the disease, or the person having the disease?

I’d say both – first the disease and then the person having it. I want everyone to understand the significance of doing this, and the way to go about it, so that you may experience joy, fulfillment and contentment. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines ‘health’ in the following terms: ‘It is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity; it is a sense of physical, physiological, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing’. My posts are an attempt to help you better understand the process of healing, which will enable you to open your heart to not only your own well-being but to that of others as well.

On various occasions, I have been asked, “As a Holistic Guru, are you in favour of allopathic medicine as well?” My answer has always been, “How can I call myself a Holistic guru, if I don’t consider the role of allopathy in healthy living?” I believe in the power of holistic healing, which means that I believe that one should seek help through a whole host of channels that are available to them, and not restrict themselves. These channels may be in the form of tried-and-tested conventional therapies, or age-old complimentary therapies.

However, I’d like you to remember that my advice is an adjunct to, and not a substitute for, tried-and-tested conventional medical therapies. For specific medical conditions, that require special treatment, I ask you to please consult your physician. If you are following any conventional therapy, please do not change anything without consulting them.
