Today, let us practice the pearls of wisdom shared by Edith Cavell before facing a German firing squad. She said, “Patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone.” Come; let us join our hands together in prayer!
What happened at Jallianwala Bagh on April 13, 1919 was extremely wrong and painful. But more painful than that is to not let-go the pain and suffering caused by it. Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer made us suffer once, but we, by not forgiving the very brutal act, are suffering again and again. (more…)

Oh! The feeling of flying; the feeling of freedom; being anywhere I wish to be; as light as the air that lifts me up – shifting, turning and blazing; letting my spirit change, but keeping my wings steady; always gliding, illuminating and empowering – surrendering only to the absoluteness (SUNYAM). Oh! What a feeling!
Flying always gives me wings to overcome the boundaries and enjoy my freedom. I think being free is not only about being rich and famous, but also about being able to love without reservations – to love someone else with such passion that you even forget yourself. An ounce of this is worth far more than a pound of the materialistic. (more…)

Without heaps of mental imagery, we may lose the excitement of creating possibilities.
This is the second technique that will help you think more constructive thoughts.
Visualization is mental imagery. With the technique of visualization, we have the power to begin the world again. It is the technique of using your imagination to create what you want in your life. We are going to use it to be totally healthy, once again. We will use our imagination to create a clean image of health that we wish to manifest. (more…)

I love the railway tracks; they remind me that though separate; though never merging, yet we can bring about common good for the world.
Life is a journey; it is always moving; stopping for few seconds to allow others to board and then again moving. You share your views and knowledge; you spend time with people, but then comes a time when they de-embark. However, you still continue; yet very often when you de-embark, they continue. Most of the journey is relationships; the rest is merely details. (more…)

Corporate, like humans, have their ups and downs. But, I was shocked to see how far a corporate could go to make some extra money.
Today morning when I read the newspaper, I was disappointed to see to what extent a Dublin based airline “Ryanair” would lower themselves in order to rise. They have proposed to start charging 1 pound for using the bathroom in midair. They say it is their Cost Saving Proposal, but what they are forgetting is that it is a “Man Killing” one too. Gandhiji was so right when he said “There is a sufficiency in the world for man’s need but not for man’s greed”. Greed unfortunately is like a fat demon, no matter what or how much you feed it, it is never enough. (more…)

If we could become more aware of the details, like a single blade of grass in a field, we would be able to more fully experience the joy and beauty of the larger design.
The first technique, in training yourself to purge non-constructive thoughts and create constructive ones, is to become more aware of your thoughts & thought processes.
Awareness is a state of consciousness or wakefulness, which allows you to be wholly aware of your actions & their consequences. An awareness of what, why, when, and how we think, could liberate us – open up our minds to different ways of thinking & perceiving things. Thought-awareness is the first step towards dealing with uncreative thoughts, unpleasant memories and misinterpreted situations. It will help you gain clarity, and when clarity is achieved, vision and foresight follow. (more…)

We are the immeasurable potential of all that was, is and will be. As there was no beginning and no end, we are just in the middle of ever-perpetuating quantum in the ever expressing energy form, in the space-horizon-time event.
Just like beliefs, you can manipulate your thoughts as well. But unfortunately, even when we think, our thoughts are mostly non-constructive. Non-constructive thinking causes obstruction to the flow of life-energy, and makes us ill. On the other hand, constructive thinking lets the life-energy flow freely to, and throughout, our body, mind and soul, and this heals us. The more constructive thinking becomes a part of our daily life, the more our daily life becomes a prayer, and the more our healing prayers become effective. (more…)

A moment of thought would go a long way towards healing. But a moment is like an eternity and focused thoughts are pretty difficult.
How miraculous life would be, if we chose to heal ourselves with the power of our mind. Oscar Wilde rightly said, ‘But strange that I was not told that the brain can hold, in a tiny ivory cell, God’s heaven or hell’. One may choose to have creative thoughts which are constructive, where the energy flows selflessly from us to others and returns abundantly to us because we give & love. Or we may choose to have destructive thoughts which are ruinous, where the energy does not flow to others and there is no giving, just taking. (more…)

I dread to think how many of us opt to be a paranoid humanoid, when we have an opportunity to be human.
Time, matter, space, light, motion, mass, cause-and-effect are the things which determine what we would rather be. Everything we send out sooner or later comes back to us – be it constructive or destructive. Jesus of Nazareth expressed this in the words, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (more…)

I have seen on various occasions that a small but good bowel motion is worth much more than a big but idle brain.
The Creator wants us to be well, powerful, dynamic and free. Unfortunately we ourselves cause the opposite through our non-creative thinking. He always guides us to the healing power within us, to give us relief and healing. But it us lesser mortals, who choose to overlook his benevolence over our pseudo-intelligence. (more…)
