Mother’s Day

If all things of our world were on one side of the scale and mother on the other; the one with the priceless mother would surely carry more weight. Motherhood is priceless, and no man may dare to lessen or belittle it.
But do we need a Mother’s Day to express all that she means to us? Do we need a special day to declare to the world that ‘who we are’ is largely because of what our mothers taught us? Does our love for our mother need an annual nudging?
Mother is a one who not only gives us birth, but also gives birth to our infinite imagination, creativity and all those things which bring forth who we are. They are the treasure house where we deposit most of our hopes, fears, hurts and worries. They are the one who raise us with love, strength, devotion, patience, sacrifice and grace.
My very reason of being on earth is my mother; my mother is my God send by God, and I would have no other. She is my eternal song of joy, happiness and being, and though there might be moments when I forget the words, I surely remember the tune. There were times when I was not too sure of myself and my inner fire got extinguished, those were the times when my mother rekindled my spirit and my hopes. I am eternally grateful to her. She showed me what courage was, when she was battling with cancer of abdomen. Doctors had lost all hope, but with breathing right, prayers, aloevera and lots of rest, today at the age of 77 years she is fit, healthy and fine without any chemotherapy, radiation and medication. She believed in herself and so should we.
Join me in thanking all mothers who grace or had graced our planet. Let us give back to them a drop of care which we picked from their never-ending ocean of love and bliss. No matter what your financial standing is, as long as you have a mother you can never be poor. Let all your thoughts about her be like flowers, so that you may eternally walk in the gardens of Eden.
