Unfortunately a brute does not know that he is a brute, and the more you become a brute the less you know and feel like one.

And unfortunately there is a perpetual streak of violence in all of us, which if not channeled constructively will break into random acts of madness and chaos. Today we are observing an International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, to acknowledge the pain suffered by children throughout the world who are the victims of physical, mental, and emotional abuse and our commitment to protect the rights of children.

Today let us pledge to take at least one positive actions to improve the lives of all children and to bring a smile of joy and hope on their lips. If our children are brought up in the atmosphere of abuse and violence they will choose the same when they grow-up; but, if they are brought up in the sphere of love, compassion and brotherhood they shall choose to be loving, kind and forgiving towards future generations.

I always wondered what makes a man stoop to such a level that he is left with no better alternative then to strike innocent children. In their insanity they forget who they really are – an epitome of all that is good, patient and tolerant. It is a fact that those who are capable of causing damage to children through abuse, are better equipped to become violent towards their spouse, society and the strength of our world. ‘The way you are one way is the way you are every way.’

On this day join me in prayers for those children and people who are affected by such acts and join me in forgiveness for those who with their inhuman acts forgot they are humans too.
