It is a day to celebrate your relationship with your Father, and acknowledging him for all that he did for you and your family.

Father is one person in this whole world, who besides your mother has been there for you at every turn of your life, to guide you, help you, make you feel secure and to make pleasures and comforts of life available to you.

This day is a reminder to recall, recognize and remember all those endless pains and suffering he went through for your positive growth and wellbeing. In fact this day not just calls for an honor and acknowledgement to your father, but to all men who have acted as a fatherly figure in your life; Stepfathers, Grandfathers, Big Brothers, Uncles, or Adult male day.

Remember, he was there for your first step, your first fall, and your first day at the school. He is someone you can count on when you need him next. Believe me, your biggest hero deserves your biggest thanks.

I always felt rich, for my papa always extended his hand to cuddle me whenever I felt empty and bored.
Like William Wordsworth noted, we call God, ‘Father’, and so there is no other holier name than thee.

As young fathers I urge you to be an example to your children; an example of love, charity, patience, tolerance, strength and humour. For you are worth far more than a hundred School Maters. It is not what you leave for your children in material inheritance that counts but, what you leave for them in all those things that make them think, speak and do good for others, that does.
