Sprain & Strain: They are cause for the most low-back pains and is caused either by an overstretched muscle or by the tear in the ligament. Lifting heavy objects improperly, for example, moving too quickly, or awkwardly Muscle Spasm: A severely constantly painful condition brought about by the involuntary contractions of the back muscles. Poorly conditioned muscles (both back and abdominal) either due to lack of exercise and flexibility; or excessive exercise

Slipped Disc: This disc problem occurs in 2-4 percent of cases and is due to the bulging of the disc between 2 vertebrae and sometimes leads to the rupture of the same. The bulging disc may push against a spinal nerve causing shooting pains, tingling or numbness in the legs. Most often the nerve involved is the sciatic nerve and so called sciatica.

Structural: Abnormal structural & underlying medical problems may account for this. All these cause movement problems.

Posture problems: Improper way of standing, sitting, walking. Prolonged standing, insufficient arch support, and inappropriate footwear, such as high heels. Inadequate support from a soft mattress. Uncomfortable work stations, such as chairs with improper support or working under an automobile or with heavy equipment
