Ways to lose stomach fat
Alcohol is a drink to avoid if you’re trying to get a flatter stomach. Not only does excess alcohol contain useless calories, but too much can make your liver engorged which distends the upper abdomen, or the part of your abdomen just under your ribs, making you appear bigger than you are.
Some alcoholic carbonated drinks, like beer, contain yeast which continues to expand in your stomach. But to fight the actual fat around the stomach you need to think about all over weight loss and reduce your calorie intake from alcohol.
Many people eat large meals two or three times a day. These large meals can often be a lot bigger than we really need and so your stomach expands uncomfortably after meals so that you feel like unbuttoning your trousers.
You can avoid this by eating more regular, smaller meals and choosing belly-flattening snacks during the day. Try to include plenty of fruit and vegetables into each meal or snack. This will in turn help you to boost your metabolism and burn more fat to remove the underlying stomach flab.
If you’re hungry during the day, don’t feel as though you need to starve until meal time. It’s also important not to reach for the cakes, sweets or pastries. During the day, always feel free to snack on apples, bananas, pineapple, strawberries, grapes or any other fruit you have handy. Not only are these a great source of fiber, but they’re also very low in calories, so they won’t affect your belly flattening efforts at all and they’ll help to make you feel full so you won’t be reaching for the sweets.
