The prospect of making sure that your body and mind are simultaneously healthy can be quite daunting, especially when you don’t know where to start. Here are some easy tips that don’t take out much time from your schedule and can be followed at your convenience -
- EAT WELL! Yes, you’ve heard this before and yes, it’s what your mother has probably been telling you ever since you could differentiate between a burger and an aloo parantha. But I really cannot stress this enough – eating well is an essential key to being healthy. Make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet and don’t neglect any of your meals, no matter how late you’re running for work, an appointment or just a meeting with your friends. Always include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet no matter what you plan to eat.
- DE-STRESS – sometimes, with our busy schedules and hectic lives it is very hard to actually take out the time to relax your body by either yoga or meditation. While this is completely understandable, it is also important to make sure that you substitute it with other means of decreasing your stress levels. Some of these are quite simple like singing or dancing as they both release endorphins and greatly affect your mood.
- GIVE YOUR BRAIN A BREAK -You can always incorporate a 15-20 minute power nap in your schedule to give your mind some time to rejuvenate. This does not lead to a loss of time or you falling behind your schedule. On the contrary, this will help you concentrate better and will benefit your rate of output.
Give these steps a try and note how much softer the noise gets in your life.
