Belly Flattening Foods & Stomach Flab Reducing Snacks

Many people eat large meals two or three times a day. These large meals can often be a lot bigger than we really need and so your stomach expands uncomfortably after meals so that you feel like unbuttoning your trousers. You can avoid this by eating more regular, smaller meals and choosing belly-flattening snacks during the day. Try to include plenty of fruit and vegetables into each meal or snack. This will in turn help you to boost your metabolism and burn more fat to remove the underlying stomach flab.

If you’re hungry during the day, don’t feel as though you need to starve until meal time. It’s also important not to reach for the cakes, sweets or pastries. During the day, always feel free to snack on apples, bananas, pineapple, strawberries, grapes or any other fruit you have handy. Not only are these a great source of fiber, but they’re also very low in calories, so they won’t affect your belly flattening efforts at all and they’ll help to make you feel full so you won’t be reaching for the sweets.

Belly Fattening Foods

Processed foods contain high levels of salt that can increase fluid retention. Sandwich meats, like processed ham or chicken pre-sliced meats, white bread or refined pasta can actually make your stomach look fatter after you’ve eaten them. Diets that are very high in protein and low in fiber can also cause mild constipation, which can also make your stomach appear bigger.

Belly Flattening Exercises

The simplest, most effective exercise to lose stomach flab is to correct your posture. Many people stand or sit badly, which pushes the abdomen forward and slackens the abdominal muscles. Stand straight and hold your abdominal muscles taut. You’ll notice a change in stomach immediately. Do this regularly and make it a healthy habit to get into. Tone your abdominal muscles with Ab crunches and other exercises.
When we talk about flab the first area that comes to our mind is the belly. Remember that one: What is belly dancing? When your belly keeps dancing after you have stopped…Once you understand some of the reasons your stomach may appear more bloated than it is, or why your body is storing fat around your middle, then it’s much easier to combat.

Lose stomach flab

Alcohol is a drink to avoid if you’re trying to get a flatter stomach. Not only does excess alcohol contain useless calories, but too much can make your liver engorged which distends the upper abdomen, or the part of your abdomen just under your ribs, making you appear bigger than you are.

Some alcoholic carbonated drinks, like beer, contain yeast which continues to expand in your stomach. But to fight the actual fat around the stomach you need to think about all over weight loss and reduce your calorie intake from alcohol.

When attempting to rid the body of excess flab, one cannot eliminate the fatter areas simply by exercising those muscles.

Many people may try specific arm exercises or abdominal exercises to try and reduce the fat in those spots. To truly lose fat, however, the person needs to take up a cardio workout and a healthy diet. Exercise and proper nutrition can cut down on fat in those who are out of shape, but many other people may find weight loss difficult.Flab may refer to layers of skin which hang down or create rolls of excess skin to some people. Flab can refer to fat on the human body which hangs down, or it may refer to sagging areas of skin that appear after dramatic weight loss. The terms flab and fat are often used interchangeably. Flab may appear on any area of the body. The stomach, upper arms, and the legs cause the most common problem areas for those trying to eliminate flab.

Consulting a doctor is the best way for a person to find out what his body needs to eliminate the fat. It could be a change in lifestyle, or medication may be required. Each person’s body is different and genetics play a large role in how fast a person gains weight. Other factors such as stress, a job that requires long hours of sitting still, or health problems can all lead to weight gain.

After working with a doctor to determine the best course of action, the person should engage in a cardio routine and plan out balanced weekly meals that still provide the nutrition his body needs. Cutting down on food will not necessarily result in weight loss since the person may binge eat at times. It can also slow the body’s metabolism and decrease energy needed for exercising. The solution for weight loss is a healthy, balanced diet instead of cutting out food in what is often termed a starvation diet.

Someone who chooses to lose weight should start slowly. This encourages him to gradually adjust to his new diet and exercise routine, making him more likely to stick with it. Working out with friends and family members can also help. Losing weight too quickly will not give the skin time to adjust and will lose the weight while still leaving the flabby skin behind. This can only be fixed through surgery, so it is best for the person to listen to his doctor and lose weight slowly.

Flab is defined as loose or flaccid flesh on human body.

Why Do Most People Turn to Flab After Age 40?Do you wonder why you are eating less and less in order to maintain your current weight as you grow older? Or are you wondering why you are gaining, even though you’re not eating any more than you used to?

Here’s the bad news: after age 40, the average person will lose about a half pound of muscle per year and replace it with a quarter pound of flab. During menopause, women will lose up to one pound of muscle a year and convert it directly into fat. This means that by age 55, the human body will burn about 600 calories less than it did at age 40. This explains why people find themselves eating less and less in order to maintain their current weight as they grow older.

Decreasing levels of lean muscle tissue and increasing levels of body fat mean more than just slow-motion metabolism. They also expose you to a greater risk of diabetes, heart disease, cognitive dysfunction, and depression. The only truly effective and enduring way to combat this steady loss of muscle is with weight training and aerobic exercises.

If you have ever wanted to get really serious about getting into shape, you have probably gone over several options; either you have looked into getting a gym membership, some home fitness equipment, or a home fitness routine. Now in the past your best bet was to probably go to the gym and get a personal trainer, then it would probably be to get some home fitness equipment, and the last choice would be a home fitness routine. But over the recent years there has been a switch in the fitness world, home workout routines have come a long way since a few years ago. There are a lot of people now who do not have time for the gym or the money for a personal trainer to
keep them motivated, and getting home fitness equipment takes up a whole room in your house and is very expensive. Home fitness routines have become just as effective as the gym without having to pay a lot of money, and the great thing about home workout routines is that there is a wide variety to choose from, so no matter what kind of workout you want, you can find one that fits your preference.

Most of us have settled for junk-living, should we also settle for junk-eating? I cherish my food, for it gives me energy and a feeling of well-being; it gives me that much-needed break from whatever I am doing.

Let thy food be thy medicine: Invariably I have seen that worries reduce, and performance gets better, with a healthy diet. Today, I am going to share with you the diet plan that I have recommended for Pantaloons Femina Miss India Finalists. The thing is what you need to understand is that there is nothing extra special about the diet plan for these girls; they’re simply given wholesome, healthy, nutritious food to eat. The only difference is they follow this diet to a T – no excuses, no complaints – simply trust in me as their trainer and the commitment and determination to win.

The diet is similar to the one I set for the other PFMI participants.

Note of caution: This is followed under tight supervision and must
not be followed by anybody unless monitored by a competent authority.

I hope that this diet works as well for you as it has for the contestants, to bring out their inner and outer beauty.

Being Miss India is not only about external beauty, but also about the beauty that you hold within your pure heart. 99% of the appeal of a beautiful girl lies in her mind and attitude.

Most beautiful girls can seem ugly and unattractive because of their attitude, whereas even the most unattractive can become good by compassion, grace, caring and sharing. I help the girls learn that simply taking joy in whatever they do is the best makeup they can wear. Beside this, my training sessions included –

* Lots of breathing exercises (pranayama) to distress and boost them up with energy, confidence and creativity.
* Giving them guidelines and tips to maintain holistic health which included meditation to de-clutter the mind from their daily chores, worries and tensions and lead them to a liberated state of consciousness.
* Yoga, calisthenics and agility drills.
* Planning and executing healthy diet with loads of fruits, vegetables, sprouts, salads, veggie juices, dry fruits, nuts, millet or jowar rotis, brown rice, herbal and green teas.

The whole rigorous training was about bringing about a body-mind-soul connect, in order to focus on self-esteem, constructive attitude, productive behavior, thoughts and positive visualization in order to experience joy and happiness. In addition to making their body perfect, I try to enhance their poise, stamina and mental strength. The idea is not for them to not just compete but to get totally involved for sustainable improvement that lasts beyond the competition.

I wish them all the best and hope that they carry the beauty, which I have helped them cultivate, not only to the rest of the world but always within.

Keeping in tandem with my concept towards holistic wellness my concern towards my clients goes beyond the realm of physical fitness. Good health is not merely physical fitness. Mental health plays a pivotal role too. In order to help them achieve transformation from their grass root levels I spend time with them talking and counseling.

The catharsis that the client under goes help to groom his or her mind. When the mind is brought to health it can express itself effectively. I like to bring about a positive metamorphosis. Of course, this involves awareness and consciousness. I want to encourage people to pay attention to all round development.
My ideologies and philosophies are influenced by yoga, meditation, Zen and the Vedas. I apply these to inspire them achieve a better lifestyle. It is the willingness to seek help that opens up various avenues of support. It works towards de-stressing yourself. Proper breathing and meditation sessions contribute tremendously to experience peace within and help to connect with one’s inner self. The idea is to understand what works best for you.

Shraavan, Ramadan, Navrathri and Lent are periods of purifying your thoughts and deeds along with your mind, body and soul through fasting or eating frugally. Across all religions there is a period every year in which one is supposed to observe disciplines towards recourse in life. It’s like an annual servicing and helps in reinforcing your biological clock on a physical level. Psychological balancing and emotional cleansing also happen on the mental level with upliftment at the spiritual level. Fasting is a technique that has been found to be an effective and safe way to detoxify your system. Fasting can also help reverse the aging process, to purify the blood and to cleanse your body and give your organs a well deserved rest. (Fasting becomes dangerous when carried out very often for the sole purpose of losing weight quickly without any competent guidance).

With freedom from toxins one can concentrate, focus and devote better towards healing your mind and body. Cleansing diets, regular exercise, rest, praying and meditation will give you a chance to heal and rebuild your immune system and find a new life.

Navrathri, the festival dedicated to Goddess Durga is just round the corner and is celebrated for nine days and nights. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival marks the end of the rains. This is the time of fasting and feasting. People observe fast for nine days and offer special pujas as a sign of pure devotion.
