What’s important is having a beautiful mind rather than just a beautiful face and, if you’ve got both in spades, you’re truly blessed. So don’t worry about your hair, or what you’re wearing, or your make-up. Your smile, full of joy and innocence, and your eyes, sparkling with humour & intelligence, are what makes you beautiful.

Hey Girls, today’s THE BIG DAY, when all that hard work you put in, to be give yourself a fair shot at winning that coveted title, gets a chance to come in handy. Remember, your main opponent is nobody but yourself. Remember that beauty is only skin deep; true beauty always shines from the inside out.

Breathe easy and let contentment radiate; pray and feel the connection to your core. In the end, it won’t matter whether you win or lose but it will matter whether you learn anything from the experience. Feel those things in your heart; they will ultimately give you happiness (They may not necessarily be something you can see or touch).

Don’t worry about what people will say. You are not going to be loved because you are beautiful, you are beautiful because you are loved. When you became a part of this contest, you were like little buds, waiting to flower. Rejoice, for today is the day to show your full glory – that very glory which you achieved not by sitting in the shade but by toiling in the sun.

Stay happy! Just for today, forget about your problems, worries and unconstructive thoughts. Just for today, recollect all those beautiful moments in life which gave you joy and happiness. Just for today, remember that your attitude will be seen before your face. Best of luck girls…stay beautiful, inside and outside. Be a joy forever!

- Mickey

This is the first book by author Cyrus Moore and it’s taken 7 years for us to finally get our hands on it. Not because it wasn’t good enough, quite the contrary. But publishers were unwilling to invest in a thriller involving the financial world, stating that it simply would not sell.

Well, 7 years down, in the wake of a huge economic crisis, this book could not be better timed. Since most of us around the world hold those in the financial sector responsible for the recession that we’re currently drowning in, it isn’t far-fetched to picture them as the villains in this riveting novel by a former telecom analyst.

The book tackles the issue of morality in a time of crisis: Would you forgo your personal ethics in order to ensure a stable future for yourself? Or would you stick to your guns & fight the system, even with the odds stacked against you a million-to-one, and everything in your life falling to pieces around you? Nic, the central character in the book, faces just such a decision. But will he make the right choice? Or will greed and desperation blind him to all that is ethical, to all those principles he used believe in as a financial journalist?

I’m afraid you’re going to have to find out for yourself. Not because I like giving you a glimpse of that pot of gold & then making it disappear. But because I want you to discover for yourself what a great book this is. Trust me…you’ll thank me later.
