Bipasha Basu, Mickey Mehta's prodigy is the latest stunner to take to Bollywoodlike a duck to water.  With  the releases of  Raaz & Jism,  a  psycho thriller, Bipasha   has made her presence  felt in the world of Hindi movies. She stepped in her dainty sandals into  the big  bad  world of  modeling .  Hers  was  the  face  that launched Lakme, Pantene, and Benz. Then came  the controversial Calida Commercial. Controversies hounded her. But she bore it all and  dazzled the  world  with  her Close Up smile'

A friend coaxed Bipasha into participating for the zonal rounds of the Ford Super Model contest. She went on to win the Tulips Miss Super Vivacious in the same contest ably trained by Mickey Mehta. Life was not the same for her again. Spotted by the world famous photographer, Steven Mizhel, she featured in Vogue magazine.

Winner of the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest in 1996, Bipasha Basu has catwalked for  several  leading  Indian designers, besides featuring in commercials such as Thumbs Up, Close Up.
