Get The Inner Glow!

Being radiant is definitely an important aspect of one’s overall well being. However, radiance is much more than cosmetics and good skin, it’s all about your inner self. So make your world radiant inwards for a better living.

The stresses that have crowded our lives have actually caused havoc in both physical and mental terms. They are the root cause of most illness and problems. To achieve a glowing persona the essential is to combat stress effectively.

Need of the hour: Self Introspection

The finest way to keep the mind, body and soul in sync, healthy and beaming is to SELF INTROSPECT. In times, like ours, which are extremely competitive, complex and stressful our minds are working over time. Due to which falling a prey to the clutches of guilt, anger, fear, confusion, betrayal and extreme loneliness is more than just easy.

Youngsters, adults, teenagers, kids all unfortunately bear the fury of fast paced, hectic life. Emotions have a knack to take over the mind at times of distress and that’s the time when sensibilities and rationale cease to exist. So one needs to know what they are looking for, what their needs are and where they wish to reach. Thus having a control over ones thoughts, being able to analyze and see clearly is a mantra which each individual should follow as a thumb rule. So I would say that the 11th commandment should be: Read Thyself More Than Once!”

There are umpteen ways of doing this. Start with…

  • Speak to yourself. Imagine that you are describing yourself to someone who does not know you at all. Your likes, your dislikes, your fears, your insecurities, your loves, your hates, try and say them all. Make yourself, your own best friend, cause only when you love yourself, are you truly capable of loving any other.
  • Write your moments! Maintain a diary or a journal in which you can pen down your thoughts without any inhibitions. Writing is extremely therapeutic; it helps in being a catharsis of your thoughts. Sometimes what is on your mind, giving you extreme pain or extreme happiness is a fact that you have completely overlooked. Writing about it will only help reinforce that fact or that thought. It also makes you totally aware of what is it that is playing on your mind. In a way writing is a mirror reflection of your mind and thoughts, it helps you ease your worries and enjoy your moments of glory.
  • Meditate. Relax your mind and body. This is also a way to know oneself better. When one feels vulnerable, empty and claustrophobic, the simplest way of getting calm, is close your eyes, say a pray, chant, concentrate on your breathing, after which rationally give a thought to what is it that is bothering you. Once you are at peace with yourself it makes it easier to rationalize and spell out the problem. Thus mediating not only soothes the body and mind, but also put things in perspective for you.
  • Meet your problem eye to eye! This is by far the most difficult thing to do, face your problem or meet it eye to eye with it. That’s the time one tends to run away from reality. But running away from reality is no solution! Yes taking some time out, well that is granted. Thus pursuing and old hobby is a great idea at these times. Whether it is reading, writing, hearing music, painting, chatting up with friends or just having to take a small walk or stroll. All of it is beneficial. Do whatever it takes to get you at ease and reinforce you to tackle your problem or your needs.

Introspection helps in giving one better perspective. It psychologically helps in sorting out the mess that you have landed up creating for your self. Weather your confusion or misery is due to a circumstance or it is a self-creation, the fact is that you have to get over it and move towards building a healthier, happier and more radiant self”.

It’s all about loving Thy Self!

Sorting your mind out and getting your priorities right is much needed for a healthy being, but the crux of the problem is that we want to do a lot in a short a time. No one is ready to stop and think about themselves. Give your self time even if it is just half hour a day. Indulge in yourself. Define your mantra. Look out for your happiness. It is your world, define it your way! We need to respect this time and age and make sure we think and act better.
