Smriti Malhotra Irani needs absolutely no introduction. She has been playing the role of Tulsi in the immensely popular Balaji Telefilms soap "Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" since the past 5 years. She has a huge fan following and has become a household name in the country & amongst the Indian community abroad.

She recently made a stab at politics & is the new BJP mascot. Smriti was the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate in Delhi's Chandni Chowk constituency. Although she lost the election her ability to combine her work with social issues by prominently featuring in talk shows brings her in media limelight once and often.

Smriti Malhotra Irani has the honor of being selected on the jury of the Monte Carlo Film Festival.

The intense pressures of juggling two demanding, energy-sapping careers and at the same time raising a young family has taken its toll on her. She had to constantly emote different roles in the serial which left her emotionally drained.
